Pipp compared with Helpwise

A Helpwise alternative for founders and small support teams

One support address is easy to share. Knowing who owns the next reply takes teamwork. Helpwise already offers a shared inbox with notes, mentions, shared drafts, and collision detection. We’re building Pipp around that small-team email job, with AI assistance and a non-AI core that stays free forever. AI is free during beta and paid afterward.

If your team wants a focused place to take ownership of customer email, reserve your spot on our waitlist. We’re building an email-only first version and preparing for invited beta.

The short answer

Pipp is for founders and small support teams that mainly handle customer email and want a clear answer to “who’s taking this?” We’re designing the shared inbox around that daily work, with assignment and internal notes in our v1 scope.

Choose Helpwise if you need collaboration in a working product today. Its Standard plan includes live chat, a help center, reporting, saved replies, and three shared inboxes. Premium and Advanced add more automation, inboxes, and AI features. Its shared-inbox focus makes it a close alternative for a small support team.

Question Pipp Helpwise
What is the main job? Shared customer email support for founders and small teams, with AI assistance in our product direction. Shared customer inbox collaboration across email and other listed channels, with automation and reporting on paid plans.
Can a team use it now? No. We’re at the waitlist stage, before internal testing and invited beta. Yes. All three plans list a seven-day trial. The public price list has no permanent free plan.
How does the team work together? Shared inboxes, assignment, internal notes, and team roles are in our planned v1 scope. They are not a claim of public availability. Standard lists notes, mentions, shared drafts, and collision detection. Premium and Advanced add more automation and assignment options.
Which channels are in scope? Email only for v1. Chat is planned after launch, with no date. Standard lists email, live chat, and Facebook. Higher plans list more channels; confirm a specific channel against current terms before buying.
What about AI? AI assistance is part of our direction. Any AI offered during beta is free, then paid; the first beta may start without AI. Premium lists AI Assist and Summarize. Advanced adds AI Auto Prioritization. We could not verify AI usage allowances or separate AI charges.
What does the core cost? Our non-AI core is free forever. We haven’t set our post-beta AI price yet. Standard starts at $15 per user per month billed monthly, with a two-user minimum. Annual billing lowers the displayed monthly equivalent to $12 per user.

Helpwise’s plan, limit, and trial details in this table were checked against its official pricing page on September 24, 2026.

When a focused email inbox fits

We’re making Pipp for the founder who still writes support replies and the small team that wants to share that work. If email is your main channel, the non-AI core will stay free forever. That is a different starting point from Helpwise’s two-user paid minimum. For a solo founder, the second seat may have to go to the office plant.

Joining our waitlist lets you express interest in an invited beta, without changing your current email process. You can assess the actual inbox before making any decision about your support workflow.

When to keep Helpwise

Helpwise is especially sensible when you already use its collaboration tools and need them now. Keep or choose it if your team relies on:

  • live chat, a help center, or channels beyond email;
  • saved replies, reporting, integrations, or automation rules;
  • Premium’s AI Assist and Summarize or Advanced’s AI Auto Prioritization;
  • existing inbox history, contact data, and working team routines.

Helpwise includes notes, shared drafts, collision detection, and basic reporting in Standard. Those are concrete reasons a small team might pay for it. Keep them if they are part of your everyday support work.

What Helpwise costs a small team

Helpwise displays dollar-denominated prices per user per month. The cited page does not identify an ISO currency. The annual figures below are monthly equivalents when billed annually. The monthly figures use monthly billing.

Helpwise pricing and plans
Helpwise plan Monthly billing Annual billing equivalent Public minimum and inbox limit
Standard $15/user/month $12/user/month 2 users minimum, 10 maximum; 3 shared inboxes
Premium $29/user/month $23/user/month 2 users minimum; 10 shared inboxes
Advanced $49/user/month $39/user/month 3 users minimum; 30 shared inboxes

For two people on Standard, the listed minimum is $30 a month with monthly billing. Annual billing makes it $24 a month equivalent, or $288 for the year, before add-ons. A solo founder should notice the two-user minimum; we did not verify a one-user purchase path. Helpwise offers a seven-day trial without a credit card, not a permanent free plan.

Premium lists AI Assist and Summarize, while Advanced adds AI Auto Prioritization. The public page did not establish AI usage allowances or separate AI charges, so check your account terms before treating the plan price as an all-in AI quote. The page also lists extra inboxes at $49 for three per month, a $10-per-user-per-month chatbot add-on, and a $5-per-active-user-per-month cloud phone system. Those are relevant only if you need them.

Our non-AI core is free forever. AI is free during beta and paid afterward. We haven’t set our post-beta AI price yet. That leaves no honest all-in savings figure to print next to Helpwise’s prices.

What comes after email

Email is our v1 channel. Chat is one of the first things we plan to add after launch, alongside broader AI assistance. We have not set release dates. Helpwise already lists live chat on Standard, so a team that needs it now has an answer today.

Can you move from Helpwise to Pipp?

We don’t have a verified Helpwise importer, migration service, field mapping, or cutover process. Keep Helpwise running while you evaluate our beta. We can’t yet say which messages, contacts, notes, assignments, or attachments would transfer.

Helpwise documents a CSV contact export and an Export All Data report for email conversations and action logs. That report limits its Body field to 200 characters, so it is not proof of a complete conversation archive. Helpwise also says its support team can help export account messages, with older history sometimes taking up to seven days. An export route is useful groundwork, but we have not verified that Pipp can import any of these files.

Questions about Pipp and Helpwise

Is Pipp ready to replace Helpwise?

Not yet. Pipp is at the waitlist stage, followed by internal testing and invited beta. Helpwise already provides a working shared inbox, live chat, a help center, reporting, and team tools. We have no verified Helpwise-to-Pipp migration path. Reserve a spot if you’d like to evaluate our email-focused approach when invitations begin.

Can one person buy Helpwise Standard?

The public Standard plan lists a two-user minimum and a ten-user maximum. Premium also lists a two-user minimum; Advanced lists three. We could not verify a one-user exception. For a solo founder, that minimum matters more than a per-user headline rate.

Does Helpwise have a free plan?

Its pricing page lists a seven-day trial on all plans, without a credit card. It does not list a permanent free plan. Our non-AI core is free forever, while AI is free during beta and paid afterward. We haven’t set our post-beta AI price yet.

Does Pipp have chat or AI today?

We’re not publicly available yet. Email is the v1 channel; chat is planned after launch without a date. AI assistance is part of our product direction, but the first beta may open before AI is enabled.

What does Helpwise AI cost?

The pricing page puts AI Assist and Summarize in Premium and AI Auto Prioritization in Advanced. We did not verify a published usage allowance or separate AI charge. Check Helpwise’s current terms for your intended use.

Should we cancel Helpwise before joining the waitlist?

No. Keep your current support running. We have no beta invitation date and no verified Helpwise migration process.
